Last October, I had the opportunity to work with Cat and Neil on their fall wedding. They loved the industrial look and felt it went well with Michigan's fall colors, but they also wanted touches of something a little softer and romantic.
Cat and Neil met at church. After becoming friends and seeing how much each of them genuinely cared about others, Cat and Neil began dating. In May, 2016, Neil got down on one knee, in front of the Belle Isle Conservatory and asked Cat to marry him. Five months later, the pair married at their church, they one where they met, and celebrated with friends and family at the Great Lakes Culinary Center.
I was there the night before the wedding and the day of, arranging flowers, setting up the ceremony and reception space and styling special details. A little bit of sparkle, a touch of pink and natural elements brought a rustic, vintage feel to Cat an Neil's naturally gilded fall wedding.
